Decision to plant 22 lakh plants for environmental protection today
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has decided to plant 22 lakh saplings on World Environment Day on Friday. The force has asked all its units across the country to actively participate in this campaign for environmental protection.

CRPF spokesperson and DIG Moses Dinakaran said, “The force has always been vigilant about environmental protection.
The force has taken up waste management initiatives by adopting earthworm manure methods in over 40 group centers. Sewage disposal plants have also been installed in many units. The DIG said that CRPF is also working towards water conservation.
The 195th Battalion deployed in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh set an example by providing rainwater harvesting and potable water for the people of Naxal violence affected area. The force has decided to purchase Bharat Standard-6 emission standard vehicles.
