With these safe steps, Yamaha resumed work at its Tamil Nadu plant

Yamaha Motor India (YMI) Group has resumed operations at the factory in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu from 18 May 2020. To ensure a safe and healthy environment for the car, the company had issued detailed guidelines for all employees before starting operations.

Following the approval from the Revenue and Disaster Management Department of Kanchipuram district on May 5, the company followed all steps like health checkup, social distancing, hygiene and ensuring the safety of oneself, family and colleagues at the workplace or on the move, etc. Was preparing to resume operations at the factory.

Along with this, the company is constantly sanitizing the workplace, seating arrangements have been made for people, virtual meetings are being encouraged and there are different places for people to go to the canteen to ensure maximum safety.

Yamaha is moving forward on the approach of step by step and has directed to start such works initially, which can help in starting the manufacturing operation in a safe and sustainable manner by following the SOP issued by the government authorities.

Yamaha is also closely monitoring the condition of its other factories – Surajpur (Uttar Pradesh) and Faridabad (Haryana) and other dealership locations and will follow the government guidelines to resume operations at all these locations.
