UP Budget 2020: There Will No Longer Be A Power Crisis


Keeping in mind the importance of electricity in all-round development, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh in its fourth budget has also given full concern to the energy sector.

The commitment has been made in the budget to maintain energy and speed up development in every house of the state. The Yogi government has claimed to maintain adequate power availability in future as well and mentioned the good fortune and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti schemes in the budget for bulb lighting in every area from cities to remote areas. In order to curb electricity theft and to install electricity meters to improve electricity supply, the budget has also been arranged.

 

The government has set a target of installing 40 lakh smart meters in 47 cities along with metering all connections to curb electricity theft by 2022. The government believes that the billing will increase billing capacity will increase by five to seven percent.
