There is no need to quarantine if the status is green in the Arogya Setu app : Aviation Minister


Amid the announcement of commencement of domestic flights, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has made a big statement on the rules related to it.

He says that if the passengers’ phone has their status’ green ‘in the Arogya Setu app, then they should not have to quarantine it. Puri said this in an online discussion on COVID-19 lockdown domestic flights on Saturday. During this, he also gave hints to the government to start international flights.

When asked questions related to the possibility of sending passengers flying in the Covid-19 lockdown to quarantine or isolation, Puri said, “I don’t think passengers who have status green on the Arogya Setu app need to be quarantined.” 

Puri also said that the government is trying to start international flights banned before August in a reasonable number.

After announcing the commencement of domestic flights, six states including Kerala, Karnataka and Assam have requested that passengers arriving in these states from domestic flights will be quarantined.
