A rocket from Elon Musk’s company SpaceX took off on Saturday for two American astronauts to the International Space Station.
According to news agency AP, as soon as the countdown was over, NASA’s Robert Bachken and Doug Hurley, along with the two astronauts, carried a private capsule of Dragon X, a rocket Falken-9. According to local time, he left for his journey at 3.22 pm.
The report said that the rocket launched took astronauts to safe orbit within a few minutes. During this time the space agency was closely monitoring the NASA operation.
A few seconds before the flight, Douglas Hurley said ‘Let’s light this candle’ … exactly what Alan Shepard said during the first manned space mission in 1961 .
The US is the first time a private company rocket has flown with astronauts in a Dragon capsule. With this launch, a new era of commercial space travel has started in America. Russia and China have done this before America. While going to space, astronauts will need to be within the control of wind speed.
