Sam Lloyd Dead: Who Played Ted Role, ‘Scrubs’ Show, Was 56


Actor Sam Lloyd died on Thursday night. He is best known as lawyer Ted Buckland portraying the Scrubs NBC-ABC medical comedy show.

Sources have revealed that he died at the age of 56 on Thursday night in Los Angeles after a prolonged illness.

Sam Lloyd revealed in the GoFundMe campaign last year that he is suffering from inoperable brain tumor.

Scrubs producer Tom Hobert and his wife Jill collected nearly $ 160,000 in a GoFundMe campaign.

On his death, Zach Braff tweeted him a tribute and wrote “Rest in peace to one of the funniest actors I’ve ever had the joy of working with. Sam Lloyd made me crack up and break character every single time we did a scene together. He could not have been a kinder man. I will forever cherish the time I had with you, Sammy. “

 Sharing a picture of him, the creator of the Scrubs show wrote on Twitter, “Thinking a lot about Sam Lloyd today. (Ted). Truly such a kind, sweet guy. He will be missed by so many.”

Sam Lloyd has also worked in TV shows such as Lawrence’s Spin City, Seinfeld, Desperate Housewives, Shameless, Modern Family and Happy Together.
