Coronavirus Medicine: Information sought for investigation

The government has banned the promotion of the ayurvedic drug coronil for the treatment of corona virus launched today by Patanjali.

The Ministry of AYUSH has ordered Patanjali not to promote Kovid medicine till the issue is investigated. The ministry has sought the drug details from Patanjali so that Patanjali’s claim can be investigated.

The Ministry of AYUSH has said that the alleged drug, drug and miracle treatment of Patanjali (Objectionable Advertisement) Act, 1954 is regulated.

On the occasion of the launch of the medicine, Patanjali’s Managing Director Acharya Balakrishna had claimed that this drug would be able to treat patients suffering from corona within 3-14 days.

During the launch at Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar, Baba Ramdev said that out of the corona patients who were tested for coronil medicine, 69% of the patients got positive from negative in just three days and 100% of the patients got infection free within seven days.

People will also be able to get coronil medicine claimed to cure corona. The medicine will be delivered within a few hours of ordering it.

Patanjali has told that next Monday, a mobile app ‘Order Me’ will be launched for online ordering of the drug, through which the drug can be purchased.
