Lockdown extended till 31 May in the country, central government allowed to open office and factory


The central government has extended the lockdown till May 31. However, this time the central government has given several relaxation with conditions regarding economic activities.

According to the guidelines released by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday evening, employees can now go to the office. Factory and industrial units are also allowed to open. However, as far as possible the work from home has been asked to continue.

Arrangements for thermal scanning, hand sanitizers etc. have been asked at the time of entry and exit at workplaces. Entire workplaces have to be sanitized regularly. Distance between employees has to be ensured. It has been asked to keep the gap in shifts and lunch breaks.

The guidelines state that all shops should ensure that their customers stay six feet away from each other and do not allow more than five people to be there at a time.

The local administration should ensure that all shops and markets located outside the prohibited area open at different times. In addition to shops and malls located in prohibited areas in Lockdown 4.0, all shops are allowed to open at different times from Monday.
