Ajay Bhalla, the chief secretary of the Union home ministry, has written to all states on Tuesday regarding migrant laborers.
In this, he has suggested several steps to reduce the crisis of migrant workers. In addition, it has been asked to operate more special trains by active coordination between the states and the Ministry of Railways.

The Home Secretary suggested that more special trains should be arranged through active coordination between the states and the Ministry of Railways. He also said that keeping in mind the need of cleanliness, food and health, accommodation should also be arranged.
He said that the district administration officials can send the pedestrian laborers to the nearest bus station or railway station at the designated places of stay or by providing means of transport, write the addresses and phone numbers of the migrants which will help in further detecting the contacts.
Apart from this, the Home Secretary said that buses carrying migrant laborers should be allowed to go on the inter-state border, food, health facilities and counseling should be arranged to stop the workers wherever they are.
