‘Green Acres’ Star Actor Tom Lester Dies at 81


Actor Tom Lester, known for his role as Eb Dawson, the smart-aleck farmhand of “Green Acres”, died on Monday in Nashville, Tenn.

He died of Parkinson’s disease which led to his death. Tom Lester was the last original cast of Green Acres who died on Monday at the age of 81.

The news of his death is confirmed by his brother via Facebook. A local media report has also confirmed this.

His birth was Sep. 23, was born in 1938 in the city of Jackson. He was raised at his grandfather’s farmhouse.

He received a degree in chemistry from University of Mississippi. After completing his degree, he also taught in Oklahoma for some time after which he went to make his career in Hollywood.

In 1965, Tom Lester was cast for “Green Acres” because he only knew how to extract cow’s milk. From this he start his acting carrier.
