Bipin Preet says that MobiKwik received a warning from Google a week ago to promote Aarogya Setu, but then he said it was a mistake. However, the app was subsequently removed from Google Play.

Sharing the information via a post on his Twitter account, MobiKwik CEO Bipin Preet Singh said that ‘our app has been removed from the Google Play store.

Google has done this because our app has an Aarogya Setu app link giving information about corona virus infection. We were asked by regulators to do this and consider it in the public health interest. ‘

However now MobiKwik has been restored again on the Google Play store and users can download and use it easily. Explain that Singh had informed in his tweet that fintech firms were asked by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to include a link to the Arogya Setu, which is also a very important step to install a contact tracing application.
