Theaters have been closed for a long time due to the Coronavirus. There is also talk of releasing the films on OTT platforms due to its impact.
Meanwhile, the Multiplex Association of India (MAI) has made an appeal to the studio partner, producers, artists.
According to news agency PTI, MAI has appealed to the producers to respect the exclusive theoretical window. MAI wrote in its statement, ‘MAI appeals to all studio partners, producers, artists and content creators to support the cinema exhibition sector.
He further wrote, ‘At the end of this we appeal to all studio partners, producers, artists and content creators to respect the practice, exclusive theatrical videos that have been in place for years. All stakeholders around the world, including India, have been accepting this fact.

The Multiplex Association of India operates under the national multiplex trading body established in 2002 under the aegis of FICCI. It represents around 2900 screens, including PVR, INOX, Carnival and Cinepolis.
