CTET Exam Postponed to July 2020

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to be held on 5 July 2020 has been postponed. The Union Minister of Human Resource Development gave the information while sharing the official notice issued on 25 June 2020 yesterday.

Issuing notice regarding postponement of the examination, the HRD Minister said that in view of the present circumstances, it has been decided to postpone the CTET examination to be conducted by CBSE on July 5, 2020. The next date of examination will be announced if conditions are favorable.

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education i.e. CBSE and the 14th edition of the examination is to be conducted this year.

The HRD Minister shared the public notice issued on 25 June 2020 by CBSE Director (CTET) and Secretary, CBSE, Anurag Tripathi, 10 days before the pre-determined date for the exam.

As per the notice related to the postponement of the CBSE CTET July 2020, the next date for the examination will be announced when the situation becomes favorable for conducting the examination in view of COVID-19.

If we look at the current state of the epidemic in the whole country, then the situation is not controlled at the moment. In this case, the probable date of this year’s CTET exam will not be set soon.
