Only the driver can sit on the bike or scooty. A fine ranging from Rs 250 to Rs 1000 if found riding on the back seat, then a two-wheeler driver’s driving license can also be suspended or revoked.
Notification regarding wearing of masks, violating lockdown and allowing a ride in a two-wheeler has been issued under the Epidemic Control Act. This was informed by Amit Mohan Prasad, Principal Secretary, Medical and Health Department, Uttar Pradesh.
The Principal Secretary said that in a notification issued under the epidemic control act, only a two-wheeler can drive a single vehicle.
No one will be allowed to sit back. In a two-wheeler, the first sitting on the rear ride is Rs 250, the second time is Rs 500, the third time is Rs 1000 and after that the driving license can also be suspended or revoked.
