Due to Coronavirus, the lockdown is implemented across the country from March 25 and the fourth phase is underway. After about two months, the government has decided to resume domestic flights.
Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri gave this information by tweeting on Wednesday. He said that airlines will start in the country in a phased manner from May 25. Airports and aviation companies have been asked to be prepared.
The Airport Authority (AAI) has released SOPs on Thursday. Under this, it will be mandatory for the passengers to pass through the thermal check area before entering the airport terminal building.
AAI issued Standard Operator Procedures (SOP) for airports for resuming domestic flights. AAI said, “Arogya Setu App is not mandatory for children under 14 years of age.”
It further added that airport operators need to make proper arrangements to make passengers’ belongings free of infection before entering the terminal building.
